Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

No kin to family, just from Rusk County, where Tavner and second wife died. Lucy Fortson was a daughter of Tavner (T. W.) Fortson. She married William M. Holt in Barbour County, Alabama and T. W. gave his consent. Asbury Fortson was married twice, both wives named Elizabeth. Believe that he died in the Civil War.
