I do not know for certain whether the correct name is Joseph Gail or Joseph Gray. I am trying to verify now which is correct. My mother has stated that her father Joseph Gail told her that he was named after his grandfather, Joseph Gail. My ggrandfather is listed in Ancestry.com as James Euell and we have him as James Elijah. As soon as the weather is better, I am going to the cemetery and my Mother and I are going to a cousin's house to see what if any information she has. I would like to know which of Joseph's children is your ancestor. Also, I would like to know whatever you may know.
