Jeptha Monroe Fortson, b. 1845 Miss. d. after 1910 Gregg Co.Texas census date........( son of Aaron J. Fortson,b.1816,d. after 1880 Van Zandt,Tx.census,13th child of William Fortson,b.1774, Orange Co.Va.and wife Ann Higginbotham.) I CANNOT FIND JEPTHAS' DEATH OR BURIAL....
Jeptha Monroe Fortson was MY great great grandfather. He is in the 1870 Panola Co.Texas census and in the marriage lists in Panola Co.Tx. with wife Margarett Eliz.Riley.
He is in the 1880 Van Zandt Tx. census as a farmer.
He is in the 1900 McLennan Co.Tx. census as a preacher.
He is in the 1910 Gregg Co.Tx. census as retired farmer.

Then, he disappears from the recorded world. Yes, he IS listed as dying in Gregg Co.Texas, but where? and when?
No proof can be found. No records are found. No questions are answered. No one knows where that Gregg Tx. information came from.No local cemeteries list him. No outlying counties list him. What happened to him?
Did aliens take him and his wife Margaret? Surnames in this Fortson family are: WILLINGHAM, BRIGGS, GOODMAN,RILEY

I would really appreciate some advice. Somewhere, someone must know something to help me. 2003 would be a much brighter year if I could find my lost Jeptha. Thanks.C.J.
