The name Swan got my attention. I have the surname Swann (double "n") in my Fothergill line. It actually comes through a spouse though. My family came from the Aiskew / Bedale area in Yorkshire, England. My gr. grandfather came to America in 1857. I don't know if there is any connection here or not.
