Rowland Fothergill was a younger brother of my great great great grandfather. This side of the family (Lowbridge Branch) is well documented in Richard's book has a large appendix on Hensol Castle. Hensol Castle also has a web page which mentions the Fothergills. Richard's book will guide you back to at least 1675.
