I think we have a common interest. I am directly descended from John Fothergill (b c 1794) who married Ann Carlton and had, in Leeds, Joseph (b 1824), Samuel (b 1826 and who married Sarah Woobank), Elizabeth Carlton (b 1829) and John (b 1831).

My line is the Samuel and Sarah Fothergill one, based in Wortley. I would be interested to hear from you!!
