I've just found a small clue; perhaps someone can help build on it. Isabel m James Thistlethwaite 19 Dec 1733. She had a brother, Edmond, and her mother was Rachel. They had 7 children: William, Alice, Rachel thought to be named for Isabel's mother, Richard, thought to be named for her father, Margaret, John and Anthony. I find on the IGI an Edmond Fothergill s/o Anthony b 7 Mar 1678 Broughill, Yorkshire; this is near Aisgarth, and he died ten days later. Also is listed, Anthony, b 1655, Broughill, Yorks, d 22 Sep 1712, probably the father. I'm wondering if Anthony didn't likely also have a son, Richard, who lived long eough to father Isabel in 1711, and Edmond, the brother.
A couple of generations later, in my line, I just noticed, this family marries into the Wetherald line, also from Broughill. Where are the rest of the Broughill records?
