I have information on the Isabel Fothergill who married James Thistlethwaite. Some researchers say that Isabel was the daughter of John Fothergill and Margaret Hough, others say that her parents were Richard Fothergill and Isabel and some say Richard Fothergill (born c1690 of Mosshall, Aysgarth)and Rachel. I do not have that last couple on file, but the evidence of the naming pattern of the children of the younger Isabel would support that theory. James Thistlethwaite named his first son and daughter after his parents, according to local tradition. So if Isabel did the same, her parents would be Richard and Rachel. Does anybody have information about this last couple? I have masses of information about James and Isabel's descendants, as the Thistlethwaites are my special project.
