The weekend was a great success, 60 Fothergills arrived in Ravenstonedale, Cumbria on Friday night for a welcome drink, slide show and talk.
Saturday brought a family photo session, a tour of the Fothergill exhibition, and a tour of Fothergill houses, with lunch in the village hall. In the evening dinner( the best cumbrian lamb)was followed by an enactment of the trial of Elizabeth Gaunt, the last woman to be burnt at Tyburn.
Sunday a special service was held in the parish church, and children laid posies on the Fothergill graves in the churchyard.
