My Grandfather Frank fothergill is descended from Henry Fothergill 1842-1913 the family originated from Westmorland.
I am trying to trace them back to Richard Fothergill 1758-1821 who was an ironmaster at the sirhowy iron works in south wales.Do you know of anyboks on the family history, was there one by a richard fothergill, if so where could I get a copy>? Richard fothergill had a brother john fothergill 1763-1828.
I would very much ike to bring my motherto next years' family weekend if there is one, but woulld want to confirm we are part of the same familybranch?
