Hello, I am beginning to research my Fothergill ancestors. Amelia Fothergill was born in 1817. It appears that she lived in Fleet Street, London and was married in 16 Jul 1844 at St. Brides Church. She married Robert Graves of Hoo, Kent. Amelia's father's name was James and his rank on the marriage certificate was listed as "gent". We have a silhouette of James Fothergil. Amelia and Robert Graves had a son Robert James Graves in 1845 in Gravesend and a daughter Frances, and then the family came to the USA in 1857. I realize that I have very little information, but thought that the Gravesend/Kent link was significant and wondered if we were working on the same family lines.
