According to my mother, Isabel Aldrich Gardner (1899-1979, Fall River, WI, USA), great great grand daughter of Isabella Fothergill Hall (about 1769-?) of Crosby-Ravinsworth, Westmoreland, there was always an Isabel or I guess Isabella in her family. My daughter is naming her first girl Isabel/Isabelle/Isabella. The name lives on! More later.
