You may be correct. In the 1900 Census my Great Grandfather's last name was Lois FURCHA (in New York). His marriage registration said his name was Louis FORCHE (in Canada). In the 1881 Canada Census, his father's last name was FORSHEA. And it is possible that he was listed as FOUCHA at his death. This family was of French descent (so it helps to think of French pronunciations)in Canada (Quebec>Ontario) then to New York. So, anything is possible. Who knows?? Maybe we are distant cousins!
