Marie,

My family history sounds somewhat similar to the info you have. My Ancestor, John Fouche was a french huguenot and sold himself to a sea captain coming to america. Upon arriving in America he indentured himself to a German Miller, (named Spake?) After his indenture he married the millers daughter. It is said that he later changed his name to Fouch to please hsi new father-in-law. He also fought in the American Revolution.

there is a gap in info until 1831 where the family picks up in Ohio and heading west on the Oregon Trail in 1862. Somewhere in this part of our history on of my ancestors is said to have married a Native American Woman, I am trying to find out who that is. My father and Great aunt are still alive and have them going through some old documents.

Does any of this sound familiar to you?

There may also be an African American Woman married into the Fouch(e) family.

Does anyone else have similare info?

Robin Fouche
