Hello Agnes,
Thank you for your reply. I have since located the Holyfield/Fouche property just south of Leesburg,VA on Gulick Mill Rd. I will be traveling to Leesburg,VA on Saturday, April 3, 2004 to this property at the invite of the family who is leasing the Holyfield/Fouche family home and also of one of the wives of one of the current owners. The wife of one of the current owner's was the previous owner of the Holyfield/Fouche property,Mary Ellen Nichols. Mary Ellen has a Donkey Farm on the property presently also. Mary Ellen e-mailed me today and says that a Historian once came to the 18th Century home when she lived in it as the privious owner and with her permission, chipped a piece of stone from a wall of the old house and later told her that the 18th Century portion of the home dates to 1750 or earlier, which is when my ancestor Valentine Holyfield's family still lived there. In my searchings, even today I came across a Hugh Fouch in George Town which later became Leesburg,VA. He was an ancestor of yours too I suppose. Well, thanks for the offer on information that would help!
God bless,
Jim Holifield
