Native American geneology?

Hi, my name is Marie, and what little I know about my family is that we were Huegenots that came over as indentured servants to of my relatives fell in love with the daughter he was indentured to, causing a huge scandal, so they set out west. I guess we fought in the French Indian War and were fur trappers..Recently, a friend said that she saw my name on a Metis geneology list, but she lost the e-mail address. Does this family have any Native American connections?
