Isaac Fouch's home in Leesburg, VA has been purchased by developers, who reportedly are ready to demolish it. Isaac purchased the property in 1760. The deed is in the basement of the Loudoun Co. Courthouse. Since he had three children at that time, it must have been built shortly after. It is hard to imagine that the historic society would allow a 250 year old house to be torn down.At least a dozen of his ancestors have written me asking how they could see it. I have been there from Washington State six times and have stayed in the Light Brigade Inn at least twice. Perhaps the officials do no realize that it is a tourist draw. Those of you who have travelled to Leesburg, or who hope to do so, please write to protest the house's demolition. Send to:
