I believe Dr Fouche was married to Lucy Nance, whose sister Mary Emiline Nance 1816-1867 was married to Captain George Washington Harris 1814-1869, author of Sut Lovingood's Yarns. Dr Fouche attended GWH when he died in Knoxville, "by the stroke of God, or the poisoned chalice of a wicked man" according to a newspaper account.

See Sut Lovingood's Nat'ral Born Yarnspinner, 1996
