To establish that Fouche'/Foushee/Fooshee
et al is of French origin, one can consult
Alfred Dauzet, Les Nomes de France. One can
find Fouche in Nantes, France in the 11th
century, when Fouche', the Bishop, wrote
the history of the First Crusade and used
Fulcherius in Latin. Dauzet says the name
derived from "fulc" (folk) and "hari" (bold,
firce) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
