My mother was a Fouche (with the accent on the e)
Born in Wynberg, Cape Province around 1900.
I know my grand-father was J.J. Fouche(not the SA President)
but other than that,I know absolutely nothing. When I was in Rocamadour, France recently, there was a guy who had all the French surnames on computer. The Fouche family left from La Rochelle for South Africa. When I told him that 'La Rochelle' was the name of our house when we lived in SA, he said I should do some research but I wouldn't know where to search.
I think there were 'skeletons in the closet' with apartheid and all that.
Good luck. Carol le Roux
