My husband has two different relatives with the name Fougere, from that area of Nova Scotia. One of his Greatgrandfathers was Nicholas Otis who married Elizabeth Fougere (Frazier). I only have information on one child named David Otis who was born 12/10/1874 around Antigonish.
His other Greatgrandfather was Eustache (Augustus) DeCoste. He married another Elizabeth Fougere(Frazier) who was born 1/20/1873 in Harve Boucher, NS the duaghter of Amable Fouger and Barbe Coste. Mary Agnes DeCoste was their daughter. That side of the family is related to Evelyn DeCoste who wrote the book on Cape Jack.
