It's interesting to find a FUGERE (Quebecois) query on the FOUGERE (Acadian) family site. By the way, my good friend, the late Wilfrid Varieur of Stamford, CT. was the FIRST person to actually find the marriage of Nicolas VERIEUL and Perrette ROUSSEL at St-Jacques Church in Dieppe, France back in the 1980s. I still have copies of his original correspondence from several years ago in my possession. Thanks for clearing up the confusion. Also, I descend on my mom's side from Nicolas and Marguerite's daughter, Angelique VERIEUL who married Claude LANDRY (a Quebecois, NOT an Acadian Landry!). Dennis M. Boudreau
