I have tried and tried and tried again to get a separate listing for the Fugere family on this site. It should be noted that Pierre and Simon did use the o in their names [Fougere] and it was Pierre, and his children that dropped the o and used Fugere. Perhaps one of these days a relationship between Pierre s/o Simon and Edme s/o Nicolas Fougere will be proved, as they are the root of the Acadian Fougere's.
