Fournivals - Clarenceville, Quebec

I am tracing the ancestors and descendants of Hippolite Forunival and his wife Adelaide McCummings. Our family information says that Hippolite was born in Rethel, Ardennes, France, about 1780-1810. The Fournivals operated a leather goods factory in Paris, France. Susequently, Hippolite emigrated to Quebec, Canada, where he was called "Viscount Fournival" and apparently settled in the Clarenceville-Lacolle, Quebec area.

Hippolite and Adelaide had at least one child, Adolphus Fournival, born February 10, 1836. Adolphus married a Theresa Coylton (Clayton?) and they had 13 children. We are descendants of their 10th child, Harriet H. Fournival.

Harriet was born April 18, 1873, married Albert Luther McCullough on November 1, 1893 in Alburg, Vermont. Albert and Harriett lived in the Clarenceville area until they migrated to the Pittsford-Florence, Vermont area between 1919 and 1940.

We would be glad to exchange information, etc.
