Yes, there are two Elijah Foushees in Chatham County, NC and one dies in Wilson County, TN
in the 1840s. I descend from the Elijah Foushee who is a son of the John Foushee and Apphia
(likely Thornton, no document to prove) who moved from Culpeper to NC in the 1787 period
and died intestate in August 1838, Chatham County, NC. We held a global Foushee gathering
in Durham, NC in May 2000 which drew 85 folks from 15 states. It would have been good for
you and Mary Bowen to have attended. We are Huguenot people. Best wishes, cousin Roger
