I am looking to find the parents of John Foutch, born May 1776 in Louden Co, VA., died Sept. 15, 1848, Sangamon Co, IL. Buried in the Foutch cemetery in Fulton Co, IL. Married Nancy A. Wherrett 1796, Fayette Co, KY. Had 10 children, Abraham, Thomas, Hugh, Elizabeth, John, Susan, Dorothy, Mary, Siron, William. I've always thought his father was an Abraham Foutch but I don't find any solid links to anyone after John.

I did find this information in a book several yrs ago if it will help anyone or peek your curiosity.

In the book; Original lists of Persons of Quality by Hotten.
It reads: on pg. 126
Theis under written names are to be transported to Virginea imbarqued in the Thomas (ship), Henry Taverner (Master), have been examined by the Minister of Gravesend, touching their conformities in our religion & c.

Among this list was a Hugh Fouche age 17 as well as Tho Fouch (no "e") age 16. This occured Aug. 1635.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks
