Laura Foshee (Foutch)

My ggrandmother (my father's paternal grandmother) was Laura Foshee, born 18 Oct 1870, Jackson Co, AL; her father was James Monroe Foshee born in 1849; his father Eldred Wesley born 1827. I have traced Laura back to Andrew (Fourche) FORSHAY & Marie Defoix born 1650 in France. Laura's family moved to Texas around Civil War time and she died in Van Zandt County, TX

I think I also came across a link to a Foutch on my father's maternal side, but can't find it in my notes.

I found several spellings for Foshee in Laura's line. Has anyone determined if they are the same family name -- just spelled differently?
