Foutch in Iowa/Native American heritage

I just found this forum so please excuse any inconsistencies!

My husband's father is Jerry Leland Foutch who lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa in the 1950's. Jerry's parents were Theodore and Nora Foutch. We're unsure of the Native American heritage as no one would talk about it, but supposedly Nora was a Blackfoot Indian.

Is there anyone out there that knows of this family tree?
