Peggy: no, I am not a descendant of any Tennessee Foutches, but may be a cousin. I had a family newsletter going for awhile, and may start it up again, so I have been collecting anything on anyone named Fouche, Fouch, or Foutch. I now have about 5,000 members in my file. If you would like a copy of the Union Civil War records of both Jason and his brother, Wm. I will send it to you. I got them from the National Archives in Washington, D.C., and have been To Tennessee researching about three times. I have never been able to identify their father, tho. I think their mother must have remarried, as she is not in the subsequent census records, that I can find, anyway.
