Jason lists ten children with their birthdates. Five of them had died by 1915, when the pension application was filed. You can also obtain his CW pension application record directly from the National Archives. His pension certificate number was 934,975. His pension claim number is 998,117. There is a letter in it from his daughter, Mrs. Lucy Ashley. They refer toa family bible that recorded the marriage between Jason and Caldonia Cheek. I hope that is still around.
