Meriam: Your Daniel was the son of Mary McDowell and Isaac Fouch, of Loudoun Co. VA. Their home still stands just south of Leesburg. Daniel and his brother, George, sold that home in 1802 when they went to Georgia. Their grandparents were Hugh and Mary Perkins Fouch. Hugh was born in America in 1696. The family bible says that his parents came to America after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes (1685). Their home had been in Brittainy, France. I have a lot on this family if you want it. Your Isaac Perkins was in the Indian Wars from 1832-1842. His pension application is in the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
