Jerrilynn,

From all of the sources found so far, it seems the earliest mention of the Foxworthy's are their marriages in the mid 1750's and they are,
1) Sarah Foxworthy, m October 16, 1750 to Daniel Green
2) John Foxworthy, m September 29, 1751 to Sarah Northcut (The children born to John and Sarah were William born April 1, 1753, Saky born February 1, 1753 and Thomas born May 12, 1758);
3) Thomas Foxworthy, m December 25, 1751 to Sarah Nubal (with a son John, born February 2, 1753);
4) Nicholas Foxworthy, m January 26, 1752 to Mary Jordan. (Nicholas and Mary had a daughter, Catherine born March 23, 1753);
5) Philip A Foxworthy, m abt 1757 to Constance. (Their children were Vincent, Thomas, James and Enoch)
They were recorded in the Overwharton Parish Register, Stafford Co., Virginia (so it seems). Have not been able to tie them all together as siblings. About the time of the American Revolution or shortly thereafter, most of the Foxworthy's had moved to western Virginia or what is now Kentucky. John and/or his son, William, served in the American Revolution.

James, son of Philip (5), had a son, John C born about 1797 which would be about the right age before they went to Indiana.
William, son of John (2), had a two sons, John that was born about 1782 in Virginia and Alexander, born about 1797 in Kentucky that may have gone back to Virginia to be with his brother, John during 1815.

Hope this can be of some help in working your project. Will have to keep in touch to see how all this works out.

Might also try Sherida (Riggs) Childers as she has the most up-to-date information on all the Foxworthy's. Her email address is (catznbearz@charter.net). I will let her know that you might contact her.

Aaron
