In the mid to late 40's and early 50's, Sunday dinners with company and listening to the "story tellers" talking about family, have heard about 4 brothers coming over from England. There must have been one or two that have left descendants in that from the early census there is:
1) John Foxworthy from about 1725-1735 that married Sarah Northcutt and had 5 children; John Jr., William m Clarissa Calvert, Suky (Sarah), Thomas and James. The census location is Prince Williams Co, Va. More information can be found in the FTM CD's.
2) Philip Foxworthy from 1730 who married Constance (?) and had 4 children; Vincent m Ann (Mary Ann Combs ?), Thomas (who must have died young), James m Louisa Bridwell and Enoch m Nancy Tippett. Census location is Stafford Co., Va. Have found descendants of Philip in the FTM CD's.
3) In reguards to Foxworth - I find only Moses Foxworth in 1719 in the early Census.
4) There is an Agnes Foxworthy b in Devon, England and from what I can tell is on the LDS records. Also from other sources, there are/were a lot of Foxworthy's from the Devon, England area back in the early to mid 1700's.
Do not have information on the John and Sarah (Northcutt) Foxworthy other that what is in the CD's. As to Philip and Constance Foxworthy, I am a descendant of Vincent and Ann Foxworthy by another 5/6 generations. I would also like to make more contacts with descendants of the Foxworthy Family from those I have made contact with.
Thank you Kate -- Aaron Foxworthy
