Hi Fred,
Thanks for your help so many months ago. I vaugely remember Joan and Don's place from childhood, but I don't think you and I have ever officialy met. I actually live in West Lafayette attending Purdue, which is wild to me because of the family ties associated with this city: Dad told me that he spent his early childhood here while Stanley James (his dad) was a student at the University. I verified this, and actually got a copy of his transcript! He also told me that I should look you up in Crawfordsville some time, as he remebers you fondly.

I wonder if you have more information about John, Joan and Stan's parents (or any of them). I have been building a family tree online, but I only go back to their generation. Most of the information is sketchy, comming from shared sources, and no public records. Also if you have any other suggestions, please feel free to share them.
