Another relative went to the Lonaconing library to see the 3" binder full of pictures & personal correspondence between my great grandfather, Benjamin Stokes Foye, and his sons, several letters from a relative on a Union ship in the Charleston harbor during the civil war, etc., but was told that the binder had been stolen from the library. I was disheartened to hear that news.
I have a duplicate and hope to put all the pictures and letters online at Ancestry.com. I am working on my family history as well as my husband's and making good progress, but it is definitely challenging and time-consuming.
At present, I have my tree as private until I feel it is more complete. At some point, I will put it all online, but right now it is taking much effort to put in the information I already have. I am currently concentrating on the Foye family, so perhaps I'll post that portion soon.
