There is a great book entitled History of Rye, N.H. 1623 - 1903 by L.B. Parsons. Has a lot of Foyes in it. Says the Foyes came from the Shoals to Kittery, ME. An early Foye (John) was a seaman.

My great-grandfather, Benjamin Stokes Foye married Eunice Adeline Jones of Standish Me. Married in Lisbon Me 24 Apr 1851. Another great book that might interest you is A History of Lewiston, ME by Janus G. Elder. Has a large Genealogical register of early families including Jones (Pgs. 228-230) My great-grandmother's family is Daniel Jones. They list it as Benjamin Fogg but should be Foye.

Hope it is helpful. I had typed all the Foyes from the index and then my computer went down before I could send it and I lost it all. Don't have the heart to retype them all.

Let me know if you want me to check the books for any particular name. I'll be glad to do so and tell you what is there.
