Hi Roger

Has your research brought you into contact with any Somerset Foyles? I have not yet really started on this line in my family tree, but am looking for information on my maternal great grandmother Juliana Foyle born 1864. The only Julianna I can find is down as Juliana Foyel registered right quarter of right year in Wincanton. She married George Luffman in 1887 and the marriage was registered at Barton Regis in Gloucestershire. They eventually ended up in Newport Monmouthshire. As you say that you think the Foyles are all connected I just wondered if you had come across this line. Juliana was very well educated for her time as she spoke French fluently and, I am told, worked as governess to a French family in ?Paris before her marriage. I have also been told that she married well beneath herself to the displeasure of her family. This could well be correct as her husband was a horseman working in agriculture and later as a coal haulier.

If anyone out there has come across Juliana or her family I would love to hear from you.
