Dear Mark,
Sorry for the delay in responding to your message, we only arrived back in Australia this morning. I tried to answer your message whilst we were overseas but there were a few internet problems.
I have constructed a fairly broad family tree which I think is accurate. It continues to widen rather than become taller as I have not been able to get back any further than John and Charlotte either. I suspect they both worked and met in Tilshead but the only record is for their marriage in 1815. It is suggested that they were both reasonably educated on the basis that they both signed their marriage entry. John was possibly a groom as this seems to be a family trend for some years. There are a couple of possibilities about John's patents and birth place (1796) but Charlotte is less clear and could be from another county as I found several other Frankham's listed in the same period/area.
Which branch are you part of ? I visited the PRO while in Britain and obtained more certificates and identified two more of my immediate family who I suspected should be somewhere to a large gap in one generation between siblings.
If you like, contact me direct via email and we can pursue this more directly.

Roger Foyle
