Dear Maggie,
I actually received your message while I was in Castle Cary in Somerset but we were having email problems and couldn't call back. I returned home to Australia today and will check through my records although the spelling of Foyel is not common. Foyles around Heytesbury in Wiltshire seem to have become Foyal for a time and there are several common variants probably due to the scribes of the day.
I will get back to you in a day or so.
Roger Foyle
