So nice to hear from you! Well, it's been such a long time now since I've worked on any of the BELLISFIELD stuff that I don't remember exactly what I was looking for. Probably just general information. I work on any
part of my family tree for a while and try to connect the dots then when I hit a brick wall I start on another part of the tree. I just like doing genealogy!
I live in the middle of the country and I really don't know too much about my mother's side of the family. My mother> Anna, was the third child of the union between Gertrude BELLESFIELD and William Henry SCHLEGEL. Mom
moved to Kansas when she was about 15 years old and lived with her dad. (Her mom and dad had divorced by 1940.)
Gertrude's parents were > Paul Cornelius BELLESFIELD and Helen Mae DIENER. Paul's parents were> Abraham Franklin BELLESFIELD, b. October 24, 1856 and Ida Matilda STEELE, b. abt 1857. There were several Abraham BELLESFIELD'S,
but this one's parents were> Abraham Franklin Bellesfield
/Bellisfield/Belles, b. November 08, 1826 in PA. and his wife> Sarah Ann WARD. His parents were> Abraham Bellesfield/Bellisfield/Belles, b. May 04,
1777 and Elizabeth WERKHEISER, b. September 15, 1781. That's about as far as I've gotten.
Your line comes off of Simon, who's parents are Abraham
Bellesfield/Bellisfield/Belles and Elizabeth WERKHEISER. Right? That's our connection.
I have that Simon BELLESFIELD was married twice. First to Anna Margaretha UNKNOWN. They had Anna Melinda BELLISFIELD, b. January 25, 1826. (Location?)
and Sarah Locinda BELLISFIELD, b. January 25, 1826. Twins! I guess. I have no info on these twins so anything you can share would be wonderful!
Simon then married Judith SCHUG, b. October 13, 1801, (location unknown to me.) They had Sybilla, b. January 30, 1829, Elijah, b. 1831 and Aaron, b. March 21, 1833. I have no info on Elijah or Aaron (if you have anything
and would like to share, I'd be very grateful!). Actually, I'd love any BELLESFIELD info that you might have as I have nothing on the children of Joseph & Sybilla FRACE, (except for their names).
