I believe the J. in Levi J. name is for Josha. A Josha wit. a marriage in NC. and he was living in the area at that time. It was one of the John Payne family ,several years ago ,( abt 1992) that told me Levi ( Eli) died as he was going over the mountain to visit his brother. Levi is buried on the south side of Blood Mountian and James Frady was living on the north side of the mountain. There was not another Frady living in the area at that time --so James must be his brother.
