What happened to Andrew J. Frady b.NC?

Does anyone know what became of Andrew J. Frady, born in North Carolina abt. 1834, the son of William Frady and possibly Nancy (Mathews) Frady that died 20 May 1845?

Andrew was in Savannah Twp, Macon Co., NC, for the 1850 census with his father, brother William, brother John, and sister Rebecca--all living with the "new" wife Sarah (Coxe) Frady and the newest member of the family, Nancy, the daughter of Sarah.

Andrew married Sarah Barnes on 15 May 1853 in Macon Co., NC. I know from Louise's research that Andrew served with the Confederates. Does anyone have details of his service? . . like a discharge date and location? Did he go home again or begin a new life after the War Between the States?

Andrew's wife, Sarah is enumerated with her family (the Barnes) for the 1870 Macon County census. I haven't found any children from their marriage; has anyone got more information? Any help on this family is appreciated.
