Thanks so much for the info!

Could he have been Joseph Stanhope Frady? Because the 1880 census shows a Joseph in the home. There may be a middle initial too, but the image is too overexposed to read on Ancestry.com. It seems like it would have to be him, because the only kids after him on the 1880 are 2 daughters whose names I cannot read at all.

(How I wish we had the 1890 census!)
