It is probable that all FRALEY (and variations) are originally from the area of Annweiler (not Mannweiler as commonly seen in American family histories) Germany. This town is in the Palatinate about halfway between Kaiserslautern and Karlsruhe a few miles from the border with Alsace, now in France, and can be found in a good atlas. There are a large number of Frölich (and Froelich and Frohlich) families in that area to this day, that being the original spelling.
