iN 1955 mY mother, a descendent of the above, received a letter from her own Mother or uncle. This uncle had moved from NM, his birthplace, to Pennsylvania to attend a seminary and meet his Frampton cousins. He lived there until the early 1970's, so was familiar with family lore.
His lineup used spelling of Potter and the direct line to Nathaniel Frampton, born 1798, marr. lastly to Laura Gillett, with brief mention of marriages to at least two other Lauras and an ealrlier son who lived in Utah. Nathaniel had been traveling with early Mormon settlers across country, but was divorced before the group headed to Utah. His former sister in law became one of Brighm YOung's wives. There were rumors that Nathaniel' son was vaguely unhappy that he had been left to take care of his own Mother, plus his father Nathaniel's previous wife, also named Laura. LD
