Eliabeth Frampton (nee Potter or Porter)
I have a question concerning William Frampton's (1650's - 1688) wife, Elizabeth. I have seen many accounts of their progeny and her surname has benn either Potter or Porter.
The Wrightnour book states that it is Potter and that her father was Thomas, sister Mary who married Phillip Richards.

I joke and say its the New Jersey accent that slurs Potter and Porter... If its Porter, her father is still Thomas. Either way, the Porter side of the line is much better laid out going back multiple generations and spreading out nicely through many descendants including a few Presidents.

In the Quaker notes, she was listed as E.P. and someone figured it out many years later. (All according to Wrightnour's book.)
