Jacob's son, George W, was known as Washington and was still living with Jacob and Phebe in 1870. In 1880, he was married and living in Newton Twp, Muskingum Co, OH.

I don't know where Henry S was in 1870 but he does not appear on any census I can find. In 1880, he was living in Vermilion Co, IL. His bio indicates he lived in Marshall Co. as of 1861, went to California for gold around 1863, moved back to OH 1864-5 and then back to Marshall Co. In 1867, he went to OH to get married and settled for a couple of years on a rented farm in Marshall Co. Shortly thereafter he bought 80 acres which he farmed. I can find no mention of McLean Co., IL for Henry.

I think your Henry is most probably a brother of Jacob but your data on the family is incorrect. I cannot prove any of the connections yet as I have been unable to track Jacob's mother and father, Mary and John, back to VA. Mary and John are in Muskingum Co, OH in 1850 and 1860. In 1860 Mary is living with Jacob and Phebe. Apparently John died betwenn 1850 and 1860.

Of Jacob's and Phebe's children, none are found in McLean Co, IL. John, the eldest and my line, went to Marshall and settled in Vermilion where John died in 1884. Lorenzo is also found in Vermilion Co, IL along,as I mentioned above, with Henry and his family. I have visited Henry's and John's grave sites at the Rankin-Union cemetery.

Jacob and Phebe had three children, Rachel, Samuel, and William who are buried near Jacob in OH.
