My ggg-grandfather, Jacques Louis Beaubet was born in Cherbourg, France Oct. 31, 1749 to Guilleaume Baubet and Marie Francoise Commenchail. He came to America ca. 1781 as a sailor on the battleship, Magnifique, to fight in the American Revolution. After the Revolution, he settled in Southwest Mississippi and produced a family before 1826, the last account we find of him.
Would very much like to communicate with anyone interested in his family line or anyone who might have a family connection in France.
