I have a John Parkman (Lt RN 1812)b. Portsea circa 1785 m Margaret NAEL b circa 1795/6 (census listed Portsmouth but I was looking for a French connection).

Married Verdun 1810

Children Ann, Eliza, Victoria, Selina, Henry, Frederick & Selina Matilda b 1824/5 IOW who married James Startks 1848 IOW Norwood (Northwood)

Am trying to find out where in Verdun as I want to visit the Mairie to see the marriage record.
