I am looking for information on both individuals listed in these newspaper clippings:

The Cayuga Chief February 7, 1852

The Ulster Republican gives an account of a terrible affray which took place in the town of Wilbur, in that county, on Tuesday evening last. Abram France and George Plass, who, with their families, occupy rooms in the same building, got into a quarrel in a room occupied by Plass, followed by a fight in which Plass stabbed France with a butcher knife in the abdomen, in two places, both of which the intestines protruded. All that surgical skill could do was promptly done and the wounded man was still alive as off Wednesday, but is not expectd to recover. Both were intemperate men, and were intoxicated at the time of the affray. Plass was arrested and is in jail.—State Register. -

Obituaries from the Greene County Whig
Death of Abram France – France who was stabbed by Plass at Wilbur on Tuesday night of last week, died on the Wednesday evening following, or in about 24 hours from the time of receiving the wounds. Examinations have been made by surgeons and the necessary legal steps for the trial of Plass have been taken by the authorities.
France was 27 years of age and leaves a wife and three children, in circumstances of extreme poverty. The people of Wilbur have shown much sympathy for their destitute condition and they have been amply cared for. Plass is some 50 years of age, and he too has a wife and several children in utter destitution. The family were sent by the authorities to the county poor-house.
